Oddie® Receptacle Clips

"An open & shut case for a specialised fastener"

In each series of fastener there are a number of types of receptacle clips, the choice of which is dependent upon the application for which it is to be used for.

The clips are manufactured from spring steel, heat treated for maximum performance, and then protected against corrosion by "Xylan XL" coating. "Xylan XL" is a form of self-lubricating plastic coating giving excellent abrasion resistance and corrosion protection.

"Xylan XL" has been specifically chosen for coating Oddie® clips, not only because of its abrasion and corrosion resistance, but also, as it is applied by a non-electrolytic process, it eliminates any possibility of hydrogen embrittlement and subsequent failure of the spring steel.

Standard Component Introduction

There are 3 basic types of Oddie® clip within the range, which can be seen below. The choice of which to use is dependent upon the individual application.

Within each series there are 3 types of Clip-In-Clip which cover a range of panel thickness.

The benefit of using a Clip-In-Clip is reduced instillation costs as they simply snap into a pre-punched hole in the panel.

A Rivet-On-Clip is suitable if the application calls for a flush fitting between the removable panel and the framework.

A Tolerance clip is suitable if the application requires some lateral movement within an assembly.

Angle Bracket Assembly

In addition to the 3 standard clip types we can also offer a sub-assembly Angle Bracket Oddie clip.

The assembly consists of a die-cast bracket and a Rivet-on-clip pre-assembled together.

It is suitable for applications where the receptacle is required to be side mounted.
